New web components

01 — Project details

Our goal was to increase our customers' understanding of both the incentive sale bonus amounts as well as helping them see how much interest they could earn.

02 — Creative process

My design partner and I broke the project down into several phases.

  1. Gathered user testing results from previous campaigns to see what the speed bumps were for customers.

  2. Brainstormed several layouts for the components, based on information from our partners and our own research, while working with the marketing channel owners to make sure we stayed true to their intent.

  3. Performed three rounds of user testing on our prototypes. First, we needed to know which layouts worked best, and then we honed our designs based on customer feedback.

  4. Refined the winning designs with input from our accessibility and UX teams.

  5. Did QA on testing site to ensure components met their goals.

We created two new components: a new table with graphics and a calculator. While they have not been released for public use yet, the site team determined that our components would be useful across the entire website and have started working on additional placements.
