Hired as a freelance copywriter to assist the marketing team, I was asked to create a web page, emails, and social posts to promote Illustrative Mathematics' new K-5 math curriculum.

02 — Creative process

We divided the project into five stages to ensure a consistent and effective message.

  1. Research: Met with product developers and read reports from subject matter experts.

  2. Value propositions: Honed the value propositions so they aligned with the company's mission and other marketing copy.

  3. Web page: Wrote the product landing page, creating multiple conversion points for customers depending on their role in the school/district.

  4. Emails: Created email campaigns to announce the launch as well as webinars exploring the benefits of the program.

  5. Social: Developed social posts to promote the product and the webinars.
